I'm a foodie with a passion for learning more about nutrition and wellness - how what we consume can make an impact of our bodies and its ability to function. It is made to heal itself and I find it fascinating how food and herbs can support that process.
I think my love for food and drink started at a young age. I remember helping my mother in the kitchen in preparation of one of our family gatherings - for a graduation or birthday or something like that. These are some of my most cherished memories. Helping my mother mix the cakes and licking the batter from the bowl. Trimming the greens and prepping the sweet potatoes. The nights were filled with music, laugher, sometimes fights but with great food. The older I became the more curious I became about food. I started reading the labels and nutritional facts on EVERYTHING. My favorite class in high school was Home Ed. where I'll never forget making strawberry shortcakes and cinnamon raisin bread FROM SCRATCH. In college, I pursued a degree in Business Administration and because I was forced to take electives, I chose Nutrition and Food Science. Now fully grown, I can finally admit my love for food, food science, and nutrition. I am giving myself the permission to pursue my passion and take you along for the ride.
